Overview

WhatsApp Stock Picking adds a Send by WhatsApp action to Odoo's transfer form, so warehouse and dispatch teams can send delivery notifications, pickup confirmations, and progress updates over WhatsApp without leaving Inventory.

Built by TechUltra Solutions, the module runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API. A composer lets the user pick a dynamic WhatsApp template, attach the delivery slip PDF, and personalise the message with the customer name, tracking reference, and other picking fields.

Customer and driver replies flow back into Odoo's chat window against the originating picking, giving warehouse staff a single thread per shipment. The module is compatible with Odoo 12 through 19 and works alongside TechUltra's WhatsApp Base connector.

Setup & configuration

From install to first call — here is the path.

    Install the module

    In Odoo, open Apps, remove the Apps filter, search for “WhatsApp Stock Picking”, and click Install. The TechUltra WhatsApp Base connector is installed automatically as a dependency.

  2. 2

    Connect Meta WhatsApp Cloud API

    In the TechUltra WhatsApp Base configuration, link your Meta WhatsApp Business Account by entering the App ID, App Secret, Phone Number ID, and permanent access token from the Meta developer dashboard.

    Approve a WhatsApp template

    In Meta's Business Manager, create and submit the delivery template (dispatch, in transit, delivered, etc.). Once approved, sync it into Odoo so the composer can use it.

    Open a transfer and send

    Go to Inventory → Operations → Transfers, open any picking, and click Send by WhatsApp. Pick the template, confirm the attachment, and send.

    Review replies in Odoo

    Customer or driver responses appear in the chat window on the picking. Reply from Odoo so the full delivery conversation stays threaded against the transfer.
