Get a fixed-scope quoteHow we calculate this
- Implementation cost: size-banded one-time fee that approximates a fixed-scope sprint or first phase of a phased rollout.
- Odoo Enterprise SaaS: 50% of your workforce as active users at $25/user/month, capped at 500 users.
- Annual efficiency savings: total loaded payroll × efficiency gain × 0.5. The conservative factor reflects that not all efficiency converts to spend reduction in the same year.
- Year 1: efficiency savings minus current ERP cost minus Odoo SaaS minus implementation. Years 2 and 3 drop the legacy ERP and implementation, so they typically swing strongly positive.
ROI calculator FAQ
-
What inputs does this calculator use?
Four: number of employees, your current ERP annual cost, expected operational efficiency gain (mid-market median is 6–10%), and average loaded employee cost (salary + benefits + overhead). Everything else is derived.
-
How is implementation cost estimated?
By company size band: ~$15k for 1–10 employees, $25k for 11–50, $45k for 51–250, $80k for 251–1000, and $140k for 1000+. These are typical TechUltra fixed-scope ranges; complex integrations or heavy customisation can push numbers higher.
-
Why is the efficiency gain halved in the calculation?
Because efficiency gains rarely convert 1:1 into reduced spend. We multiply the efficiency-gain figure by 0.5 to give a conservative floor — real engagements often unlock more, but we'd rather under-promise here.
-
What's included in the Odoo Enterprise SaaS cost?
We assume 50% of your workforce uses the system at $25/user/month, capped at 500 users. This excludes Odoo apps that have per-app fees and any third-party integrations or middleware.
-
How accurate is the payback period?
Directional, not exact. It assumes the legacy ERP retires by year 2 (so its annual cost stops compounding), and that efficiency savings are realised steadily across each year. Real timelines depend on go-live, change management, and adoption velocity.
