Implementation, cost, and engagement model
-
How long does an Odoo implementation take?
A typical mid-market implementation (50–500 employees, 4–8 modules, 3 integrations) lands in 12–20 weeks. Smaller scopes go faster (4–10 weeks), enterprise programmes longer (24+ weeks). Use the implementation estimator at /tools/implementation-estimator for a directional read on your specifics.
-
What does an Odoo implementation typically cost?
Implementation cost scales with team size and scope. Indicative ranges: $15k for ≤10 employees, $25k for 11–50, $45k for 51–250, $80k for 251–1,000, $140k for 1,000+. Add Odoo Enterprise SaaS at $25/user/month, plus integration and customisation as scoped. Run /tools/odoo-roi-calculator for your specifics.
-
Do you do fixed-price engagements?
Yes — every project engagement (Implementation, Customisation, Development, Migration, Integration, Training, Consulting) is fixed-scope, fixed-price after a discovery phase. The two retainer engagements (Support, Hire-Developer) are monthly billing with hour buckets, not hourly invoicing.
-
What's a Gold Partner and why does it matter?
Odoo Gold Partner is the second-highest of three official partner tiers. Gold requires sustained certified-consultant headcount, audited delivery quality, and a track record of successful go-lives. It matters because the tier is awarded for outcomes, not paid for like a marketing badge — TechUltra has held Gold since 2023.
Working with TechUltra
-
What happens after I submit the contact form?
A senior consultant in your region replies within one business day with a written summary of what we heard, what we'd recommend looking at first, and a calendar link for a 30-minute scoping call. The first call is free, with no obligation to engage.
-
Which office handles my enquiry?
By default, the office in your region: London for UK + Ireland, Cape Town for South Africa + SADC, Lima for Peru + Latin America, Milan for Italy + EU, Ahmedabad for India and everywhere else. You can request a specific office in the contact form's message field.
-
Will I get the same team after the first call?
Yes. The senior consultant on the first call is the same person who scopes your engagement and remains the relationship owner through delivery and the first 90 days of post-launch support. No hand-off to a separate sales / delivery / support tower.
-
Can you sign an NDA before we share details?
Yes. Mention NDA in the contact-form message; we'll send a mutual NDA before the first call. Mutual NDAs are standard for any engagement that touches sensitive data — we sign one before scope work begins, not after.
Technical scope
-
Which Odoo edition do you implement?
Almost always Odoo Enterprise. Community is supported when there's a specific reason — typically a small team with no commercial features needed and tight cost constraints. We'll recommend Community openly when it's the right call instead of upselling Enterprise.
-
Can you work with our existing data and integrations?
Yes. Data migration is one of the five axes the implementation estimator weighs. We've migrated from SAP Business One, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho, Tally, QuickBooks, Sage, and a long tail of custom-built systems. Common integrations: Shopify, Salesforce, banks (open banking + EDI), HubSpot, Stripe, FedEx / DHL APIs, FatturaPA, MTD VAT, and SARS EFiling.
-
Do you do custom Odoo modules?
Yes — but reluctantly when standard Odoo workflows would do. Customisation is permanent maintenance cost, so we push back on it during scoping. When custom is genuinely needed (regulatory specifics, niche workflow, deep automation), we deliver it as a versioned Odoo module that survives upgrades.
-
How do you handle Odoo version upgrades?
Migration is a fixed-scope service. We test the new version against your data and customisations in a staging environment, surface every breaking change, and execute the upgrade in a single weekend window with a rollback path. Pricing depends on customisation depth and module count.
About the company
-
Where are you based?
TechUltra Solutions is headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. We have additional offices in London (UK), Cape Town (South Africa), Lima (Peru), and Milan (Italy). HQ holds about 70% of headcount; the other four offices are regional consulting hubs with native compliance expertise.
-
What languages do you support?
Engagement work runs in English by default. Regional offices also operate in their local languages — Italian (Milan), Spanish (Lima), and Afrikaans (Cape Town) for client-facing conversations. The marketing website is English-only at launch.
-
Are case studies real?
Yes. Every case study links a real client engagement with consenting client review. Specific revenue numbers are anonymised when the client requests; everything else (timelines, modules, team composition) is accurate.
