What's included
-
Training-needs assessment
Half-day workshop with team leads to map roles, current proficiency, and target outcomes. Output: a per-role training plan with session count and length.
-
End-user training
Module-specific live sessions for the people doing the daily work — Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting, HR, etc. Sessions run 60–90 minutes each.
-
Super-admin training
Configuration, user management, role-based access, custom fields, automated actions, and reporting. Sessions are deeper (2–4 hours) and hands-on.
-
Finance / operations leadership briefings
Executive-friendly sessions covering reporting, KPIs, multi-company consolidation, and what to ask in monthly close meetings. Less click-by-click, more decision-making context.
-
Developer onboarding
Technical training for in-house developers maintaining your Odoo customizations — module structure, ORM patterns, OWL frontend, testing, and the deploy pipeline.
-
Recorded session library
Every live session is recorded and indexed by topic. New hires onboard via the recordings rather than waiting for the next live program.
-
Written playbook
Per-role playbook documenting the exact steps each person takes daily/weekly/monthly. Lives in your knowledge base — not locked in our LMS.
-
Train-the-trainer program
Optional add-on: we train your internal trainers so they can run the program themselves for new cohorts. Reduces ongoing training cost and creates internal experts.
Our process
-
Training-needs assessment
1 dayHalf-day workshop with team leads. We map roles, current Odoo proficiency, target outcomes, and the calendar window for delivery.
-
Curriculum design
3–5 daysPer-role session plans with learning objectives, hands-on exercises, and the test scenarios attendees will work through. Reviewed with your leads before delivery.
-
Live training delivery
2–6 weeksSessions run on-site, remote, or hybrid. Each session is recorded; attendance tracked; questions captured for the post-program FAQ.
-
Hands-on exercises
Embedded in sessionsEach module has practical exercises in a sandbox Odoo instance. Attendees work through real workflows; trainers stay available for stuck moments.
-
Recording + playbook delivery
1 weekRecordings indexed by topic, playbook delivered to your knowledge base, FAQ document compiled from session questions.
-
30-day Q&A support
30 daysDedicated Q&A channel for 30 days post-training so the team can ask follow-ups as they hit the work in real life. Most teams don't need it past 30 days.
Typical timeline
Most training engagements run 2–4 weeks of delivery, depending on role count and session length. A starter program (end users + admins for one location) ships in 2 weeks. A larger multi-role program (end users + admins + leadership + developer onboarding across multiple offices) runs 4–6 weeks. We can compress for go-live timing if needed; some clients run training as part of the Implementation engagement so it lands the week before cutover.
What affects the price
Every engagement is fixed-scope after a paid one-week discovery. These are the levers that move a quote up or down.
-
Role count
Each role has its own curriculum and session plan. End-user-only programs are smallest; full-stack programs (end users + admins + leadership + developers) cost more but cover more ground.
-
Cohort size and session count
Sessions are capped at 20 attendees for end-user training, smaller for admin/dev. More attendees mean more cohorts; same session repeated 3× for 60 people.
-
Delivery format
Remote sessions are fastest and cheapest. On-site sessions cost more (travel, time) but are higher-bandwidth — better for sticky topics. Hybrid programs combine both.
-
Custom-content depth
Standard curriculum maps to standard Odoo modules. Custom content (your specific workflows, your custom modules, your integrations) takes longer to build and adds cost.
-
Recording and playbook scope
Standard recordings + a one-page-per-role playbook are included. White-label LMS courseware, video editing, and printable workbooks are scoped separately.
Who this is for
Teams that want their people to actually use Odoo — not just have it installed. Common shapes: a company that just finished implementation and needs to onboard 50–500 people, a business growing into Odoo's deeper modules and needing role-specific upskilling, or an internal IT/ops team that wants to take over administration after a partner-led build. If you're a single-person company or a 5-person team, our shorter Consulting engagement may fit better than a full training program.
Why TechUltra for odoo training
-
Role-based, not module-based
Sessions are organized by what someone does in their job — not by which Odoo module a feature lives in. The 'Operations Manager' session covers everything that role uses, even if it spans 3 modules.
-
Recorded by default
Every live session is recorded and indexed. New hires onboard via the recordings rather than waiting for the next live program — most teams find recordings get more use than the live sessions over time.
-
Hands-on exercises in a sandbox
Attendees work through real workflows in a sandbox Odoo instance during the session. No 'I'll try it later' moments where retention drops to zero.
-
Train-the-trainer option
We can train your internal trainers so they can run the program for future cohorts — building internal expertise and reducing your ongoing training cost.

Frequently asked questions
-
Do you offer Odoo certification training?
We can prepare your team for Odoo's official certifications (Functional, Technical) but the certification itself is taken via Odoo SA — not us. Our prep program is structured around the exam blueprint and includes practice scenarios, but isn't formally accredited as exam-prep.
-
Can training be delivered on-site?
Yes — we deliver on-site in any country we operate in (India, UK, South Africa, Peru, Italy) and most others by arrangement. On-site is more expensive due to travel/time but typically higher-bandwidth for sticky topics. Hybrid (some sessions on-site, some remote) is common for multi-location clients.
-
What's the typical class size?
End-user sessions cap at 20 attendees so everyone gets practice time. Admin / dev sessions cap at 8–10 for hands-on depth. Larger cohorts run as multiple sessions of the same content rather than one large session — retention drops quickly past 20 people.
-
Do you train on Odoo Community or Enterprise?
Both. The user-facing UX is largely identical between editions; admin and developer training differs in places (Studio is Enterprise-only, for example). We tailor sessions to the edition you actually run.
-
Will you train our developers, not just end users?
Yes. Our developer onboarding curriculum covers module structure, ORM patterns, OWL frontend, testing, and the deploy pipeline. Most developer engagements run 5–10 sessions and include hands-on PR review of small features the trainees build.
-
Can we get the curriculum and recordings as a deliverable?
Yes — recordings, the playbook, and any custom slides are delivered to your knowledge base. They're yours to keep, modify, and reuse internally. We don't ship training behind an LMS lock-in.
-
Do you offer ongoing training subscriptions?
Yes — for clients who continuously hire and need a fresh training cohort each quarter. The ongoing engagement is a discounted rate against ad-hoc sessions and includes annual curriculum updates as Odoo's UX changes.
-
What if attendees miss a session?
Recordings cover that. Each session is recorded within 24 hours of the live delivery and indexed by topic. Most teams use the recordings for new-hire onboarding regardless of whether anyone missed the live session.
