Odoo's upgrade service migrates standard Enterprise data. Custom modules, third-party apps, testing and fixing remain your responsibility or your partner's. TechUltra Migrate covers the full job: data, custom code, third-party modules, automated checks, test rounds and go-live, for both Community and Enterprise, with the option to run everything on your own server.

It depends on database size, the number of version steps and how much custom code you have. The automated migration itself runs in hours, not weeks. Most of the calendar time is your own team testing. Your free assessment includes a time estimate for your system.

No. In hosted mode you upload a backup and test. In Private mode over SSH we install everything for you. If you have developers, they can review the pull request with your custom code, but it is optional.

From Odoo 16, 17, 18 or 19 to Odoo 17, 18, 19 or 20. Odoo 15 and older are upgraded by our engineers as an assisted service and then finished on the platform.

Yes, in one project. Internally the platform runs and checks each version step in order (16 to 17, 17 to 18, 18 to 19, 19 to 20), but you test only the final result.

Yes. You choose the target version. Some companies prefer the previous release because a specific third-party app is not ready yet. The assessment shows which target suits you.

Yes. Community databases are upgraded to Community on the target version with the same checks, test system and go-live process as Enterprise.

Not as part of the upgrade. Changing edition is a separate step with its own data changes. We can plan it as a follow-on project once you are on the new version.

Yes, for an Enterprise target. The upgraded system runs Odoo Enterprise code, which is licensed through your Odoo subscription. If your subscription has lapsed, we help you renew it with Odoo.

Yes. We work from an Odoo.sh backup and deliver an upgraded database and code branch for your Odoo.sh project, or deploy to your own server if you are moving off Odoo.sh.

No. Odoo Online databases are upgraded by Odoo directly. If you want custom modules, which Odoo Online does not allow, we can move you to Odoo.sh or your own server first.

Uploads, stored databases and backups are encrypted in transit and at rest. Every engineer access is logged and visible to you. Test copies and uploads are deleted automatically after go-live.

Yes. In Private mode a signed runner is installed on your server through Docker or SSH. The database and attachments never leave your network. Only a redacted progress status comes back to us, and you can read every outgoing message.

No. Every test system is neutralised on each rebuild: outgoing email, payment providers, bank synchronisation and scheduled jobs are switched off.

Hosted projects run in our India region by default, with a European region available on request. In Private mode, data stays on your own server.

Only for the agreed retention period after go-live, then it is deleted automatically. Your original database is never modified by us.

No. Posted journal entries, chatter, logged notes, attachments and activity history move with the database. The data-match checks prove that totals such as the trial balance and stock value are unchanged.

Yes. We sign NDAs and data processing agreements before any data is shared.

They are ported to the target version, partly by rules and partly by AI, and delivered as a pull request on your Git repository. Every test build includes them, and automated checks, not the AI, decide whether they pass.

Automated checks run on every build: each module must install, every menu and form must open, and the data must match. Your developers can review the pull request line by line. If the AI cannot get a module to pass, a TechUltra engineer finishes it.

For the custom-code plan, yes. You connect GitHub in a few clicks and we work on a separate branch. If you do not use Git, you can upload your custom modules instead.

If the vendor has a version for your target, you supply it and we install it. If not, we port the module like custom code, or help you replace or retire it. The assessment lists the status of each third-party app.

Yes. Fields, views and automations created with Odoo Studio are part of the database and are carried over. They are included in the automated menu checks and in your testing.

Custom reports and layouts are upgraded with your modules. Integrations with banks, e-commerce, shipping or your own systems are listed in the assessment and retested in the test system before go-live.

You get a private Odoo test system with its own address and logins. Your team works in it as they would in production and reports any problem with a Report issue button inside Odoo.

The issue is logged against the current test round. We fix it, the system is rebuilt with the fix, and you receive the next round with a list of what changed. The previous build stays available until the new one passes.

Each plan includes a set number of rounds, which is enough for most projects. Extra rounds can be added if your testing needs them.

Only the final run on a fresh copy of your production database. Because every fix has already been proven in testing, the run is predictable. Your assessment gives a time estimate based on your database size, so you can plan go-live for a weekend or a quiet evening.

Your original database is kept as a fallback, so you can switch back. Every plan also includes a support window after go-live, during which our engineers fix any issue you report.

No. The quote lists what is included. Optional extras, such as Private mode, deployment by us, extra test rounds or hosting, are priced separately and only if you choose them.
