AI for Odoo

Odoo gives you AI. We make it work in production.

Odoo 19 ships AI agents, natural-language automation and document processing, and Odoo 20 is expected to extend them when it lands in late September 2026. Getting any of it past a pilot is a different problem — clean data, tested accuracy, controlled cost, and a record of every action. That is the work we do.

The honest picture

Most AI projects inside ERP systems do not reach production. 88% of AI agent pilots never reach production Source: Forrester / Anaconda 2026, compiled (opens in a new tab) . The reason is rarely the model. 64% cite evaluation and observability as the main blocker to production Source: Forrester 2026, compiled (opens in a new tab) — organisations cannot tell when the AI is wrong before it acts. And 8.4% of data leaders say their data is trustworthy enough to run agents in production Source: Modern Data Survey 2026 (opens in a new tab) .

None of that is an argument against using AI in Odoo. It is an argument for doing four things before you switch it on, and three things after.

What Odoo’s AI already does — and what it doesn’t

Three categories, and the distinction between them is the whole basis of what we charge for. Odoo covers the first. Nobody covers the second by default. The third is outside what an ERP vendor will ever build.

  • Odoo does this. You should not pay a partner for it.

    • A dedicated AI application
    • Configurable AI agents with prompts, topics and knowledge sources
    • “Ask AI” natural-language search
    • AI Fields in Studio
    • Automation rules written in plain English
    • Training on your own documents and policies
    • Reading uploaded PDFs and creating records from them

We configure all of this as part of setup. We do not bill it as a product.

  • Odoo does not do this. This is where projects fail.

    • Cleaning the data underneath the AI
    • Telling you when the AI is wrong, before it acts
    • Controlling what the AI costs you each month
    • Deciding who approves which AI action
    • Keeping an auditable record of what the AI did
    • Watching accuracy drift over months

    This is what we do.

  • Odoo will never do this.

    • Anything physical — warehouse layout, pick paths, scanner coverage, racking
    • Models trained on your own history rather than generic knowledge
    • Work that must be provably correct: reconciliation, valuation, tax
    • Anything outside Odoo — banks, carriers, government portals, machines
    • Getting your team to actually change how they work

This is where we build things Odoo has no roadmap for.

Five services, in the order they should happen

The sequence matters more than any individual engagement. Assess before you configure, remediate before you trust, control the cost before the invoice arrives, and monitor once it is live. Skipping straight to step two is the most common and most expensive mistake.

  1. AI Readiness Assessment

Five days. A numeric data-quality score, a go/no-go verdict per use case, an indicative monthly cost, and a sequenced 90-day plan.

  2. Odoo AI Setup

Two weeks. Agents built against your real processes, role-based access, approval thresholds, and a written record of every one of them.

  3. Data Remediation for AI

Deduplication, attribute completion, unit standardisation and valuation reconciliation — plus the governance rules that stop it degrading again.

  4. AI Cost Control

A consumption baseline per module and agent, routing changes that cut it, caps and alerts that fire before the invoice, and a monthly report.

  5. AI Assurance & Monitoring

Monthly accuracy scoring per use case, a reviewed agent action log, permission and consumption review, and a quarterly review.

Questions we get asked

  • Odoo already has AI. Why do I need a partner?

Odoo gives you the engine. It does not clean your product master, tell you when the agent is wrong, or control what it costs. Most AI projects do not fail on the software — they fail on those three things.

  • Is this just a chatbot?

No. Odoo 19's agents already create and update records, and Odoo 20 is expected to extend that further. That is exactly why approval thresholds and an audit trail matter more than the chat window.

  • How much will Odoo's AI cost me per month?

Honestly, most partners cannot tell you, because it runs on consumption credits rather than a flat fee. We measure your actual usage first and then cap it. Our free cost estimator gives you an indicative range in about two minutes.

  • How do I know the AI will not be wrong?

It will be wrong sometimes. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. The question is whether you find out before or after it books an entry. We test accuracy monthly and show you the score.

  • We use Odoo Community. Can we use the AI?

Odoo's built-in AI features require Enterprise. On Community you have none of them today. The honest first question is whether the AI is worth the licence change for your volume — our eligibility checker will tell you exactly what you can and cannot use on your current setup.

  • Do you build custom AI agents?

Only where Odoo does not already provide one, and we will tell you which is which. Building an agent that Odoo ships free in the next release is not a service, it is a cost.

  • Which Odoo versions support AI?

The AI application, agents and prompt-based automation arrived with Odoo 19, and require Enterprise. Earlier versions have limited or no AI features. Odoo 20 is expected at Odoo Experience in late September 2026 and is not released yet. Our eligibility checker maps your exact version and edition to what is available today.
