What does Gold tier actually tell you?
Gold tier is a useful filter and a poor decision rule, so use it as the first cut and not the last. It certifies that a firm clears Odoo's annual thresholds for Enterprise user sales, for consultants certified on the three most recent versions, and for customer retention, which together mean the practice is large, current and keeps its clients. None of that tells you whether the consultant assigned to your project understands discrete manufacturing. Check the directory profile for the things tier does not capture: how many references sit in your industry, what the largest and average client sizes are, and which versions the certifications actually cover. A partner whose references cluster in retail is a weaker fit for a process manufacturer than the tier badge suggests, however senior the badge. Because they count different things, and both are accurate. The Odoo Partner Directory publishes enterprise implementations sold and delivered under our own name — that is the 101, and it is the number you can verify yourself without taking our word for it. The 400+ is every Odoo project we have delivered since 2016. The difference is made up of two things the directory does not model: contract delivery in B2B collaboration with other Odoo partners and agencies, where the reference is credited to the partner who holds the client relationship, not to us; and Odoo Community deployments, roughly 15% of our projects, which carry no Enterprise licence and so never appear as directory references.
