Overview
WhatsApp Purchase in Discuss connects Odoo Purchase to Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API, then surfaces every RFQ and purchase order for the current WhatsApp vendor inside the Discuss conversation. Procurement stops swivel-chairing between modules to confirm an order or chase a quotation.
Built by TechUltra Solutions, the module adds a Purchase tab to the Discuss menu. From that tab buyers see every RFQ and PO linked to the vendor on the other end of the chat, open one in place, edit lines and dates, or create a new order — without losing the conversation context.
Outbound messages go through dynamic WhatsApp templates with text, media, and interactive content, and delivery and read ticks from Meta — single grey, double grey, double blue — are mirrored into each order's Odoo chatter so procurement managers have a complete audit trail.

Single grey, double grey, and double blue ticks from Meta are mirrored into the Odoo chatter on the order so managers can audit who received and read each message.

Setup & configuration
From install to first call — here is the path.

Install the module
In Odoo, open Apps, remove the Apps filter, search for “WhatsApp Purchase in Discuss”, and click Install. The Odoo Meta WhatsApp Discuss and Odoo WhatsApp Base dependencies are pulled in automatically.

Connect Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API
In WhatsApp → Configuration, enter the WhatsApp Cloud API credentials from your Meta Business account — the phone-number ID and permanent access token — and run the connection test.

Sync purchase templates from Meta
Import the approved RFQ-dispatch and PO-confirmation templates from your Meta Business account, including any quick-reply buttons for acknowledgement or queries.

Open the Purchase tab in Discuss
Go to Discuss and select the Purchase tab. Pick the WhatsApp vendor you are talking to and see every RFQ and PO linked to that partner.

Send By WhatsApp
From any RFQ or PO, click Send By WhatsApp, pick a template, attach the PDF or any other file, and send. Vendor replies and read ticks land back in the same Discuss chat.
