Overview
WhatsApp CRM in Discuss turns Odoo's Discuss inbox into a WhatsApp-first sales workspace. The current contact's CRM leads appear next to the conversation, so agents do not have to switch apps to qualify or update an opportunity while they chat.
Built by TechUltra Solutions on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API, the module sends dynamic templates, media files, and interactive messages — list pickers, product lists, and quick-reply buttons — and writes delivery and read receipts back to Odoo so managers can see what landed and what was opened.
The WhatsApp tab is redesigned to match the WhatsApp app's look and feel, and every conversation, smart button, and template touch-point stays inside Odoo. Sales teams get a unified inbox without bouncing between CRM, Discuss, and the WhatsApp Business app on a phone.

Set up WhatsApp Business and Meta
Create a WhatsApp Business Account, complete Meta Business verification, register a phone number, and generate a permanent access token from the Meta App dashboard.

Install the prerequisites
From Odoo Apps, install Odoo WhatsApp Base and Odoo Meta WhatsApp Discuss first — they ship the Cloud-API connector this module builds on top of.

Install WhatsApp CRM in Discuss
Open Apps, remove the Apps filter, search for “WhatsApp CRM in Discuss”, and click Install.

Connect your WhatsApp Business number
Under the WhatsApp configuration, enter the WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID, and permanent access token from Meta.

Open the Lead tab in Discuss
Go to Discuss, open the new Lead tab, and confirm leads for the current client appear next to the chat.

Send the first WhatsApp message
Choose Send by WhatsApp on a lead, pick a dynamic template, attach any media, and send. Delivery and read ticks flow back into the Odoo conversation.
