Overview
AI Email Response Assistant brings AI-written replies into Odoo's email chatter, so your team answers messages faster without switching to another tool. The module reads the most recent email in a conversation and drafts a reply that fits the context.
Built by TechUltra Solutions, it connects to either OpenAI's ChatGPT or Google's Gemini using an API key you configure once in Odoo Settings. You also set how many of the latest emails the assistant should read for context, so replies stay relevant to the thread.
Every draft is editable. The assistant produces a starting point in a professional tone, and the user reviews, adjusts, and sends it — the AI never sends mail on its own. The result is quicker email handling with the wording still under human control.

Setup & configuration
From install to first call — here is the path.

Install the module
In Odoo, open Apps, remove the Apps filter, search for “AI Email Response Assistant”, and click Install.

Choose an AI model
Go to Settings, open “Generate Email content using AI”, and select either Gemini or ChatGPT as the LLM model.

Add your API key
Enter the API key for the model you selected. Use a Google Gemini key for Gemini, or an OpenAI key for ChatGPT.

Set the email count
Enter how many of the latest emails the assistant should read from a thread when generating a reply.

Generate a reply
Open a record whose chatter contains at least one email, then use the assistant to draft a response. Review and edit it, then send.

Which AI models does the assistant support?
It supports OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini. You pick one in Odoo Settings and provide the matching API key for that provider.

Does the assistant send emails automatically?
No. It only drafts a reply. You review and edit the draft, then send it yourself, so the final wording is always under your control.

Do I need my own API key?

The assistant needs at least one email in the chatter to work, because it generates the reply from the latest message in the thread.
