Overview
Project Subtasks extends Odoo 10.0's Project application with a lightweight task-delegation flow. A new Project Subtask button on the project view opens a wizard dialog that captures a child task and the user it should be delegated to.

From install to first call — here is the path.

Install the module
In Odoo 10.0, open Apps, remove the Apps filter, search for “Project Subtasks” (technical name task_delegation), and click Install.

Confirm dependencies
The module depends on the standard Project and Discuss apps. Install them first if your environment does not already have them.

Open a project
Go to Project, open any existing project, and locate the new Project Subtask button added by the module.

Delegate a subtask
Click Project Subtask to open the wizard, enter the subtask details, choose the user to delegate it to, and save. The subtask is created and assigned in one step.

Follow up through Discuss
Use Odoo's Discuss messaging on the parent and subtasks to coordinate updates — the assigned user is added as a follower automatically.
