Role & responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work together with other cloud engineers, architects, developers, and customer engineering teams to:
- Should have experience in designing and building cloud native solutions using AWS services for product development in large scale.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with or knowledge of DevOps & Agile Software Development methodologies
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure & understanding of network, storage, tiered application environments -caching layer, data streaming layer, DB layer, etc.
- Experience working on Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery using Jenkins | Gitlab | CircleCI | Harness | or any other relevant tools.
- Must have experience working on Dockers,
containerization, Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in building and automating Infra solutions using scripting - shell, terraform, helm chart, python etc
- Strong familiarity with standard tools and platforms that enable CICD such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, Octopus, Azure redhat OpenShift, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes etc.
- Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket) etc. is preferred.
- Knowledge of data visualization and exploration tool such as Kibana.
- Experience on AWS Services, such as IAM, EC2, S3, Glacier, VPC, Route53, EBS, EKS, ECS, RDS etc.
- Experience working on infra and operation automation using Terraform.
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally to ensure the success of the system's operation. You will be closely collaborating with other engineering and product teams to ensure that expected system behavior is understood and monitoring exists to detect anomalies.
- Participates in architecture and software development activities.
- Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
Incidence management and Perform root cause analysis for production errors, Investigate and resolve technical issues
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Linux Administration
- Proficiency in Terraform & Ansible
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools as Docker, Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience of AWS, Google Cloud & Azure services.
- Deployment using Jenkins or similar tools & Helm Charts
- Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana,
- Knowledge of networking protocols and systems architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Certification in relevant area (AWS SysOps, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Experts, CKA)
